<image:caption>The Resident Integrated Support Environment (R.I.S.E) Program addresses the mental, financial, and physical health needs of residents by offering integrated support. Resident and fellow physicians are at elevated risk for developing depression compared to the general population. They are also less likely to utilize mental health services. The combination of high-intensity work and long hours, fatigue, social deprivation, student loan debt, and the fear of failure is contributing to rising depression rates amongst trainees.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Pregnancy & Postpartum Support MN (PPSM) began in 2006 when Suzanne Swanson, PhD, a St. Paul psychologist, formed the group with other area mental health professionals with a passion for helping moms and families. The group created the first resource list specific to perinatal mental health. In 2015, PPSM became the Minnesota State Chapter for Postpartum Support International (PSI). We are a trusted ally for families & practitioners, providing support, advocacy, awareness and training. We are a volunteer-led organization paving the way for perinatal mental health and setting the standard for competent perinatal care in Minnesota.</image:caption>

He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. <image:caption>As an educator and the “paper doctor, PhD” half of our double-doctor duo, I have always been in awe of health care professionals who give so much love to their families, and still have plenty left for their patients. Tragically, all the love in the world can’t protect all our caregivers from mental health and physical health struggles. When Radhika died due to an acute postpartum psychosis crisis, our newly expanded family lost not just a partner and mommy, but also our bearings. I’m motivated every day by the mission of the Dr. Mom Foundation - to improve the lives of our caregivers who are often asked to do too much. All families deserve to thrive, and I want to help other medical families and communities prevent the grieving we’ve learned to live with in Radhika’s absence.</image:caption>
